activatability

Educate, entertain, and raise a few bucks for Spinal Cord Injury Restorative Research & Resources by spotlighting badasses from the disability community doing badass things. Our goals are to:

  • 1

Expand the concept of what is possible, especially for those new to living with disability.

  • 2

Normalize the experience of living with a disability while educating the broader population.

  • 3

Help restore function to millions living with paralysis by contributing funds to SCI research.

  • 4

Continue living life to the fullest at any ability level, pursuing new goals and challenges.

what is activatability?

It's an idea born from the observation that around the world there are people living with disabilities doing incredible things and providing a look into their lives + experiences can create a better understanding that people are simply people. Some just happen to live with disability.

Our hope is to inspire others (especially those new to living with disability) while educating the broader population, and hopefully improving humanity – even if only in the slightest.

"just that easy" pilot episode

thomas attempts a marathon

Because we believe in a good minimum viable product approach, our initial shot at achieving goals 1-4 was to film Thomas attempting a marathon in his chair.

If you enjoy it, please consider helping us donate to orgs that focus on restoring function to and improving the lives of people living with Spinal Cord Injuries, plus helping us produce more episodes featuring folks from the disability community (who are far more impressive than Thomas).

Resources for the SCI Community

A portion of all contributions will be donated to these organizations. They have provided critical support throughout Thomas' journey and we hope they can help others as well.
